On Thursday, September 12th, Schuyler Center staff participated in their annual Staff Fun Day event. This year, the team started their day at Board and Brush, a D.I.Y. wood sign workshop in Latham, New York that runs classes on creating custom wood signs to use as décor pieces. We learned how to sand, distress, stain and paint wood creations, and almost all of us finished the workshop with our fingers in tact! After that, we set up camp at a local park where we enjoyed some delicious treats, as well as a healthy competition playing bocce ball. Most of the time at Schuyler Center, the team is working hard, focused on improving the lives of New York’s children and families, but a single day of team building and fun makes Schuyler Center an extra special place to work!
