The Schuyler Center Board of Trustees welcomed two new members at its October meeting, Sandra Roche and Laura Jean Shipley.

Since 2004, Sandra has served as the Chair of the Bloomingdale Family Program, an early childhood and parent education program in upper Manhattan. Bloomingdale was a model for the Head Start program during its development in Washington, and has operated a Head Start Program since 1967. Sandra is a board member of the Head Start Sponsoring Board Council of NYC. She served for many years as principal of the Little Red School House in Greenwich Village and subsequently as a member of the LREI Board of Trustees.

Laura Jean (LJ) Shipley is a board certified pediatrician working in Rochester, NY.  She currently serves as the Vice Chair for Behavioral and Population Health at Golisano Children’s Hospital/University of Rochester Department of Pediatrics and as the Associate Medical Director for Maternal Child Health at Accountable Health Partners, an integrated network of hospitals and physicians in western NY working to improve quality outcomes and deliver value.  Previously, LJ was a practicing pediatrician and Managing Partner of the Panorama Pediatric Group in Rochester.  She is leading collaborative efforts to transform approaches to whole child health care, including behavioral health, and teaches students and trainees in multiple disciplines related to pediatrics.  LJ has represented the pediatric community on many local and countywide organizations. [/vc_column_text]
